WASHINGTON – The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) has launched a new environmental and social policy framework (ESPF) as part of its commitment to help achieve sustainable development in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC).
BASSETERRE – Prime Minister Dr. Timothy Harris has presented an EC$1.5 billion (One EC dollar=US$0.37 cents) budget to Parliament saying that the measures contained in the fiscal package are designed to “setting the wheels in motion to advance our plans to get St Kitts and Nevis back on track.”

GEORGETOWN – Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Secretary General, Dr. Carla Barnett has expressed her “profound sorrow” at the loss of life in Haiti, after a tanker truck loaded with fuel exploded on Monday night, killing more than 60 people in Haiti.
